This fascinating curiosity from Wilder, toward the end of his career, stars Holden as an independent film producer who goes to Greece in search of Fedora, an actress from Hollywood's glamour years who now lives in a secluded villa. The film demonstrates a more romantic side of Wilder, but his potshots at contemporary Hollywood lack the bite of his more classic turns in the director's chair, most notably Sunset Boulevard.
