Interesting but highly uneven -- and at times wooden -- drama about the L.A.P.D.'s unique crime-fighting task force, the S.I.S. (Special Investigation Squad) and their highly unorthodox methods of taking hard-core criminals off the streets. The story that unfolds is all-the-more frightening considering the L.A.P.D.'s gung-ho presence in African-American and Latino communities.
