SKINOPSIS

Of course he got elected, dude fought Satan himself... or at least Gabriel Byrne posing as Satan which come to think about it is was less scary than Arianna Huffington. Anyway, this shitfest has got some bright spots most notably a nudie moment from The Craft's Robin Tunney, a Satan-pleasing mother-daughter threesome and some random restaurant tit-fondling.

3 REASONS TO BUY THIS FILM

  • Brief boob exposure from Robin Tunney.
  • a mother-daughter threesome.
  • Gabriel Byrne makes a pretty funny Satan.
REVIEW
After a two-year absence from movie screens, "Ah-nuld" is back with a medium bang in this bizarre mix of generic action flick and fire-and-brimstone apocalyptic thriller. Arnold (looking noticeably trim in his first outing since his heart surgery) is a scruffy, faithless New York cop who must protect a cynical woman from the vile clutches of Satan himself (Byrne, whose sinister leer and malevolent pranks provide the only source of much-needed humor in this otherwise grim and heartless movie). Tired cop-movie clichés and digital special effects dominate as the forces of evil threaten the forces of light, and it's up to the intrepid policeman to renew his faith and save the world. Knowing what he's up against, the film flirts with ludicrosity far-too-often by making him blast away at Beelzebub with a Rambo-sized arsenal. Arnold is competent, Tunney is unmemorable as the young woman, and Steiger has some fun chewing his and everyone else's scenery.
