SKINOPSIS

Is this tenderly erotic story a tale of two women who love one another, or is it simply the work of an exploitive man who enjoys his leering voyeuristic peek at women "making it" with each other? Casaril, director of several films that feature lesbian relationships and sexuality (L'Astragale, 1986 and The Beguines [Le Rempart des Beguines], 1972), directs this love story between two women and a man. Married couple Claude and Emilienne find their stability shaken after Claude begins an affair with a young student, Nicole. But Nicole soon becomes attracted to Emilienne as well and the two begin an affair. What ensues is a series of bed hopping and bed dropping as the three must sort out who belongs to who.
