Jaglom takes us on a wonderfully entertaining afternoon outing to a fine suburban L.A. home where a group of women come together for a birthday party and where everyone's favorite topic of discussion is food, food, food. Filmed with an all-female cast, the comedy is much more consistent and funnier than Jaglom's previous outings as the wacky cast of Left Coast caricatures chatter, bemoan and marvel in their collective guilt for and obsession of food and eating. The film is loosely structured, allowing the actresses to improvise, with the results being many hilariously memorable and perceptive lines. A note of caution -- this film should either be seen on a full stomach or with a bunch of fattening munchies piled high on your lap. Go on a diet after the film!
