REVIEW
After a few comic misfires, Brooks is close to speed once more with this funny if sometimes obvious spoof on vampire films. Nielsen clearly is enjoying himself as the Count, neatly satirizing every vamp from Lugosi to Oldman. The story is basically the same: Dracula comes to England, and becomes a real pain in the neck until Professor Van Helsing (Brooks) gets on his trail. Brooks and his cowriters aren't on target with every joke, but many of the ones which do work are surprisingly fresh (such as Dracula dancing in front of a mirror or a hysterical scene of a staking).
