REVIEW
Douglas, the self-appointed spokesman for the victimized white heterosexual male, is cast as such once again as a successful computer engineer and all-around good guy who is sexually harassed by his new boss and ex-flame Moore. She in turn brings charges against him. Thus sets in motion a battle to prove his innocence. Forgetting the obvious complaint of a female aggressor in Hollywood's first film about sexual harassment, there are other points that make Disclosure an irritating piece of trash. Though slickly made by Levinson, the film is a cheap sleight of hand that is no more about harassment than Philadelphia is about AIDS. Lacking the courage of its convictions, the film is ultimately about corporate intrigue, and even then misses the mark as a biting indictment. It's a misogynist, calculated foray into sexual politics whose only point is that women as much as men can abuse power. Maffia provides the only shining moment as Douglas' attorney.
