REVIEW
This "investigative" documentary into the life and works of the Soviet Union's greatest modern director was produced by the Swedish Film Institute and directed by Tarkovsky's longtime friend and editor Leszczylowski. Filmed in Sweden during the making of his final feature, The Sacrifice, and while he was gravely ill with cancer, the film attempts to capture, through interviews and footage from his films, the essence behind this brooding intellectual genius.
