Diabolique (1996)

REVIEW
An inferior, lifeless remake of the 1954 classic French thriller. Stone and Adjani are teachers at a boarding school who plot and kill Adjani's tyrannical husband (Palminteri), the school's headmaster. They get away with it, but when the body turns up missing, it appears he may not be dead. Bates adds a little life as a detective investigating the disappearance. Not even a '90s bent on the two women's sexual relationship makes this of interest.
