REVIEW
The Crypt Keeper from TV's "Tales from the Crypt" makes his way to the big screen in this tongue-in-cheek tale. The film, like the series, is alternately ghoulish, coolish and humorous, but it doesn't quite succeed in becoming the triple threat it so wants to be. Director Dickerson creates a chilling atmosphere, but he's working from an undeveloped script. It has to do with the Devil (Zane) battling the mortal guardian (Sadler) of a key containing the blood of Christ. Zane has a devilishly good time hunting his prey to a small New Mexico hotel and then tormenting all in his reach. Gory effects and macabre humor follow as he plays a demonic game of Ten Little Indians.
