A lawman named Lorkin is caught in the middle of a racially charged murder mystery. Tensions mount in a small town when an aboriginal prisoner is foud dead in his jail cell. The tension heightens when an illicit love affair between an aborigine bootlegger, Tony, and a schoolteacher's white wife is discovered taking place on sacred ground.
