When a handsome young journalist (Elwes) rents the guest house of an affluent couple, he becomes the object of their precocious teenage daughter's (Silverstone) dangerously obsessive affections. With a sexy 14-year-old seductress as the protagonist, a victim who is so clueless that one is tempted to yell "just get out of the house already stupid," and a wonderfully inane plot twist involving a used condom, The Crush has a sort of shamelessness about its own cheesiness. Silverstone bats her eyes, flirts and connives like a pint-sized Sharon Stone.
