This sizzling tale of a sexually repressed street preacher and a mysterious prostitute carries as resounding a wallop as could only come from the inimitable talents of Russell. Perkins stars as the deranged reverend who's hell-bent on saving the soul of China Blue (Turner) -- a well-respected fashion designer by day who becomes a slinky streetwalker at night. Overflowing with camp humor and bizarre twists, the film is a visual treat in which seductive waves of saturated neon splash across the screen. Definitely one of Russell's more unique (a term which may be redundant when describing his work) and unforgettable ventures. (Unrated version)
