REVIEW
Despite its derivative shocks and improbabilities, Copycat manages to serve a few chills which should give less-than-demanding thriller fans a cheap scare or two. Weaver is a renowned author and criminologist who is nearly killed by a psycho (Connick). When a copycat serial killer begins terrorizing the city, cops Hunter and Mulroney convince the agoraphobic and homebound expert to help track him. The film is full of twists (some predictable, some not), but a few of the sequences needed to set up the next scare lack either credibility or depth. Weaver and Hunter play well off each other.
