REVIEW
Screenwriter and novelist Tom McGuane's engrossing comedy, set in Montana, stars Carradine as the sanest in a trio of modern-day desperados whose partners include his over-sexed wife-to-be Kirkland and Waits as a charming but dangerous killer bent on revenge after being jilted out of the money from their last heist. The couple's attempts to settle down in anonymity with their loot prove to be as elusive as the law, and their own lust and greed finally undermine their demented idea of the American Dream. This outrageous comedy is engaging and fun, although the writing seems forced at times with zany characters trying a bit too hard to be "weird." You Might Also Like
