Cold around the Heart

Though ultimately just another nail in the coffin of career suicide Caruso, this Jim Thompson-esque journey into amorality (written by director Ridley) can be summed up as Bonnie and Clyde meets The Last Seduction. Caruso is strangely endearing as a ponytailed, Mamet-spouting "ewok" who goes hunting for his double-crossing, ice-goddess girlfriend (Lynch) when she takes off with the loot and sticks him with the cops. Dash, on the run from an abusive father, tags along for some light sexual tension, but her character is basically an afterthought to Lynch's bleached-blonde lethal weapon in jeans.
