Captain Ron

In this amiable variation of What about Bob?, Short is a mild-mannered family man who inherits a boatload of trouble when he takes his family sailing with the help of lovable, ne'er-do-well Captain Ron (Russell). Like Richard Dreyfuss' psychiatrist, Short's exasperated father is the only one to notice a bumbler's shortcomings which the rest of the family is blind to. Short's comic instincts are still on the mark, but it is Russell's surprising flair for comedy which makes these hijinks seaworthy.
