Cabin Boy

A television skit stretched to a barely feature-length 81 minutes, this initially funny but ultimately tedious comedy stars Elliott as an obnoxious rich boy (forget the fact that he's balding and in his thirties) who mistakenly embarks on an "it's gonna make you a man" high-seas adventure. Playing the self-centered, moronic innocent character to the hilt, Elliott brings some antic humor to the otherwise disappointing tale. Letterman has some fun in an early cameo (you get to see him before slumber sets in) and Magnuson is featured as a vampish, six-armed creature from the sea.
