REVIEW
A cheap and sleazy little thriller about a cop who is a serial killer, Black & White benefits from Gershon's take charge performance as Nora "Hugs" Hugosian, a sexy LAPD who is the prime suspect in a string of killings. When she is not breaking in her new partner, the devoted Catholic Chris O'Brien (Cochrane), on the beat and in the bedroom, Hugs may be taking justice into her own hands by shooting her perps in the eye. Although the story is far-fetched, and the number of suspects limited, there are a few red-herrings to keep this otherwise routine policer interesting. Gershon is always a pleasure to watch, even if she spouts ludicrous dialogue and has little chemistry with the ineffectual Cochrane. In support, Silver shows up as a chess-playing, chain-smoking internal affairs officer who once had a past with Nora, and Eastwood sleepwalks through her role as a detective assigned to the case. Mildly diverting for B-movie fans only.
