REVIEW
This hysterical adaptation of the Faust legend stars Cook as a mischievous Mephistopheles who grants the nebbishy Moore seven wishes in exchange for his soul. All of his wishes end in disaster for Moore, who only wants his Whimpy Burger coworker (Bron) to love him. The humor is hurled about so unrelentingly and with such outrageous and inventive abandon that only the most mordant of viewers won't find some cause for laughter. The screenplay by Cook provides an even better vehicle for himself and Moore than The Wrong Box. Welch appears as "Lust." (Remade in 2000)
