REVIEW
A simplistic yet thought-provoking spy thriller which gives a sardonic clue as to what some soldiers may do once the war is over. In a role not unlike his excellent turn in Deep Cover, Fishburne plays a blacklisted ex-CIA agent enlisted by Barkin and Langella to join a mysterious company whose stock-in-trade is translating post—Cold War tactics (blackmail, bribery, murder) to the world of big business and high finance. This intriguing premise turns stale, however, as in high order Barkin lures Fishburne first into bed and then into a deadly hostile takeover. As sincere as the two leads are, the peripheral characters carry much more depth.
