B. Monkey, or La Femme Nikita Sees the Errors of Her Ways, Marries and Settles Down in a Cottage in the Country, is bursting with flashing style, over-the-top acting and some great action sequences. This thriller is great fun to watch, but don't try to make any sense out of the mindless plot or unbelievable characters. Argento (daughter of the famed Italian horror director) is the sexy sly jewel thief B. Monkey who, after meeting a dorky jazz-loving school teacher, decides to retire from the biz. But that "one last job" done as a favor to her crime pal Meyers becomes her undoing when the heist goes awry. Everett is wonderful as a dissipated drug lord/bon vivant whose life is spiraling out of control, yet you'd never know it from his debonair attitude. Not art, but fast-paced, classy and action-packed. And if the plot doesn't work for you, the attractive cast should.
