A fun-filled futuristic adventure set on an isolated space station. Max 404 (Opper) is a capable, somewhat waifish android -- with a penchant for Jimmy Stewart movies and rock 'n' roll -- whose job is to assist his creator, a renegade scientist (Kinski). Unknown to Max, the good doctor is working on a female and prototype android, destined to replace him. Part Metropolis, part Frankenstein and part 2001, Android is genuinely inspired and thoroughly entertaining.
