A trio of friends hit the road to try and get away from it all but wind up deep in the middle of something else when they pick up a mysterious, sexy hitchhiker. Tensions between the four well-conceived characters mount as their relationships are tested and secrets revealed. Though the film has an intriguing premise that never fully delivers on its potential, the engaging performances by a cast of unknowns and the film's good use of settings along the Outer Banks of North Carolina make it a trip worth taking.
