A dash of Marx Brothers, a taste of Chaplin, a whole lot of Three Stooges slapstick, and puns, puns and more puns are the ingredients for this send-up of every airplane disaster film from Zero Hour to Airport. This nonstop laugh fest relentlessly hits us over the head with jokes. There are so many jokes, in fact, that blinking is not advised. Besides the million or so laughs, this is the film which first introduced Nielsen as a comic actor - let's give thanks for that, too. Cameos include Beaver's mom Barbara Billingsley and Ethel Merman. (Followed by a sequel in 1982.)
