There's bad, then there's awful, then there's Legend of the Bog. Ok, maybe we're being a little harsh. After all, there are a lot of uninspired, nonsensical horror movies out there and many, many of them have also gotten DVD releases. But, Legend of the Bog stands out by providing neither genuine chills nor trashy thrills. This is a movie that desperately cries out for some gratuitous nudity, but, alas, the lone shower scene reveals zilch in the way of exposed nipples. The plot, what little there is, strands a variety of people (all of whom have done something regrettable in their past) in rural Ireland where they are terrorized by a "bog monster" (played by who we presume is the only actor they could find actually larger than Vinnie Jones). Uninspired suspense, overdeveloped subplots, mediocre acting and ridiculously bland cinematography abounds.
